Since 2006, thousands of businesses and millions of users worldwide have switched to the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) to make printing easier across a changing landscape.

Now it is time to move to the HP Smart UPD. Revolutionize printing to a heterogenous fleet with the HP Smart UPD (SUPD) resulting in a simple, intuitive, and compelling printing experiences.

HP Smart UPD is a true "Single Print Driver" based on Microsoft XPS driver technology (V4 and V3) that will work with a heterogenous print fleet from a Low-End Inkjet to an HP LaserJet Pro, HP LaserJet, and Copier Class devices. HP Smart UPD is a true UPD with a single driver package supporting the entire print fleet generating any PDL.

Enterprises can do away with the legacy PDL specific UPD-based drivers and print queues saving time, money, and effort for Enterprises to maintain and upgrade using just a single print driver ? HP Smart UPD to print to their entire fleet.

Description

The HP Smart Universal Print Driver (HP SUPD) is available as a free download from go/smartupd. This version release has the following attributes:

? Before 3.08.1.2731, in Print Mode: "Secure Encrypted": the password is stored after the Save as Default is checked even when Printing preference UI is opened from the Application. From 3.08.1.2731: Save As Default check box will be hidden in Printing Preferences UI when opened from an app.

? 3.08.1.2731 (V3) includes defect fixes/enhancements like Bold, Italic, outline, text alignment, horizontal and vertical offsets around preview in watermark dialog.

HP SUPD 3.06.2.2503 (v3 & v4)

? Booklet printing feature with Fold and Stitch options: print page order is not working as expected.

? For "Secure Encrypted", Job was stored even "Store Job" checkbox is not checked. ? Run "SPARK tool installer exe" file. No installation successful alert and user cannot find where
