Smart Price 2.0.3 Installation InstructionsUpdated 4/8/2016System RequirementsThe following Operating Systems are supported:-Windows 7-Windows 8-Windows 8.1-Windows 10Note: If you are still on Windows XP or Windows Vista, it is advisable to get a new computer with Windows 7 or higher already loaded on it, rather than upgrading from an older operating system. Upgrading your Windows operating system often causes software issues which are extremely difficult and time consuming to solve, when they can be solved at all. Versions of Microsoft Office:This version of SmartPrice cannot be installed if you have any 64 bit version of Microsoft Office on your computer (2010, 2013, 2016, or O365). If you have a 64 bit installation of Microsoft Office, the installation will display an error and you will not be able to proceed. Note, this is not a common issue, since most people use the 32 bit versions of Office. To fix this issue, uninstall your 64 bit installation of Microsoft Office and reinstall and select the 32 bit installation this time. Installation InstructionsDownload the installer from: and save it to your desktop.Right click on the installer and choose Run as Administrator. If Windows prompts you to allow this program to make changes to your computer, select Yes.Proceed through the installation until you get to the Finish screen. On Windows 8 and higher, you may be prompted to install .Net 3.5, click Yes to this option. Search for an apply all Windows and Microsoft UpdatesIn Windows 7: -Go to Start>Control Panel>Windows Update. Click Check for Updates and install all important updates. -Return to the updates screen, and this time look BELOW where it says Windows Updates and verify that you see this exact statement: -If you do NOT see this statement, click where it says Click Here for more information. You will be prompted to install the Microsoft Update service. Then you will need to search for updates and install updates again.In Windows 8 or higher:-Go to your Settings screen -Go to the Updates section (you should click Advanced Options and make sure you are set to receive Microsoft updates along with Windows updates)-Click to install available updates (you may already be set to get updates automatically, in which case all you may need to do is reboot).Exporting your existing Job FilesOn your desktop you will now have two launchers for SmartPrice. First, launch the existing SmartPrice: You will be prompted to login as normal. Once you log in, you will be taken directly into the Job Management screen.Highlight all the jobs in the list that you want to keep/continue working on in the future and click Export Selected Jobs. All selected jobs will be exported to C:\SmartPrice\Data\ImportedJobs.Now exit SmartPrice and launch SmartPrice 2.0.3. Here is what the new icon looks like:You will be prompted to login as normal.On the main menu, click Import. Select the job you want to work on first. The file will be imported and you can continue to work on it in the new SmartPrice. You can continue to import other job files as needed or create new jobs. ................
