? Activate the Microsoft (MS) Paint app that comes with the Microsoft Office product. ? Click the Home Tab and then select Resize. (Under Pixels selection, make sure lower number in Horizontal and Vertical

setting is at least 400 pixels.) Select Ok to resize photo. ? Under the View Tab click the Ruler selection. ? Under the Home Tab click Select and then Select All. ? Under the Home Tab click on Crop using the mouse and the ruler as guide and crop the photo to 400?400. ? Under the Home tab click the resize button in the Select and Skew Box and select pixels to verify the size. ? Still in the Select and Skew Box uncheck maintain aspect ratio. ? In the pixel box make sure horizontal is set for 400 and vertical is set for 400. (Click OK to save the photo's new size.) ? Use the Save As feature to save your file name. ? Be sure that the name JPEG is selected as the Save As type. ? Your film Society photo is now set for 400?400 pixels and is ready to be uploaded.

MAC Members can try one of two methods below to select and size their photo:

OPTION A: ? Open up iPHOTO on the MAC, choose a COLOR headshot-type photo that resembles as close to a square shape as possible. ? Click on the photo that will be submitted to Film Society. ? Select EDIT ? Choose CUSTOM ? FRAME the photo using the mouse ? Enter 400 pixels for width and 400 pixels for height ? Click APPLY ? Go to FILE ? Go to EXPORT ? SAVE AS: Save your photo in the following naming format under the MAC desktop: SAG-AFTRA ID#, followed by a hyphen, followed by your LAST NAME (Example: 10000001-SMITH.JPG) ? Your film Society photo is now set for 400?400 pixels and is ready to be uploaded.

OPTION B: ? Open up iPHOTO in MAC ? Choose a SQUARE shape COLOR Photo Headshot Image. (Important that the starting image is as close to a square shape as possible.) ? Open your Color Photo Image with MAC PREVIEW. ? Go To FILE ? Choose EXPORT ? Under EXPORT Window - Choose FORMAT Screen ? Choose Save As JPEG ? Click the PADLOCK icon and click "UNLOCK" the photo image ? Enter 400 pixels for width and 400 pixels for height ? SAVE AS: Save your photo in the following naming format under the MAC desktop: SAG-AFTRA ID#, followed by a hyphen, followed by your LAST NAME (Example: 10000001-SMITH.JPG) ? Your film Society photo is now set for 400?400 pixels and is ready to be uploaded.
