This is required for Fueltacs reports.

The first client install is a base install for the FuelTaCS GUI application.

The second reports install is a base install for the FuelTaCS Reports application.

• Now run the latest FuelTaCS Upgrade release.

As of 1/22/2020 it is:

*** NOTE: This version is for Windows 10 installations only on CF-31 with built-in GPS. *****

• Compatibility

Currently Fueltacs requires modification after installation to run under Windows 7 or 10 64 bit.

You should set compatibility mode for Windows XP, SP3 for ALL USERS.

This applies to the following executables in the c:\program files (x86)\dmvfueltacs\bin directory:

NCDOTCommClient.exe

NCDOTCommEngine.exe

Attempting to run Fueltacs without this modification will not succeed under Windows 7/10 64 bit.

Also need to set the compatibility for the GUI (NCFLS_UIManager.exe) to “Windows 8” compatibility.

• Install 64 bit version of CodeCorp barcode scanner driver:

File Location: \First Time Install\Barcode\Drivers\Windows7\64bit

Install file: VCOMInstall_v2.4.2.0.exe

Install instructions: D020963 SOFTWARE USB VCOM for Windows 2_4_0 Read Me File.pdf

NOTE: to uninstall this driver it is NOT sufficient to run the uninstall from Device Manager. You need to run the install package listed above and select the option to uninstall. This does a valid uninstall of the driver. Found this out during repeated testing of the unattended install package from the Consumer Platform Group.

• Install the Barcode application:

File Location: \First Time Install\Barcode\BarcodeApplication\64 Bit compatible 1.0.12

*** NOTE: BCSetup.msi has been renamed to BCSetup.exe on the FTP site since you cannot download an msi file.

File: setup.exe or BCSetup.msi

Instructions: Barcode installation.doc

• Set BCEventGen.exe in compatibility mode, Windows XP, SP3 for ALL USERS

File Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\NCDOT\BarCodeDOT

• NOTE: To run the Fueltacs application or Reports application you will need to “Run as administrator”.

• Grant full access to the directory c:\program files (x86)\NCDOT

• Grant full access to the directory c:\program files (x86)\DMVFuelTaCS

• Grant full access to registry under HKLM\Software\WOW6432NODE\NCDOT
