Overview

This document is to assist the Service Desk in re-associating file types with the correct Program.

Common Examples

? A user cannot launch the Epic icon on their home computer (the launch.ica file just hangs in their browser) but they have installed the Citrix Receiver correctly.

? A user attempts to edit a PDF document with Adobe Acrobat but it opens with Adobe Reader.

Procedure

1. Open Control Panel and Navigate to > Programs > Make a file type always open in a specific program

2. Highlight problem file type (e.g. .ica or .pdf) and Click `Change Program'

3. Browse to location of correct program (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\ICAClient\wfcrun32.exe or C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe), highlight program and choose Open

4. Click OK
