Festive DIY Paper Snowflakes

Turn your home into a winter wonderland by cutting out snowflakes. Hang your snowflakes from a doorway, or on the ceiling of a room for a larger effect.

What You Will Need

Hammermill? Copy 20lb Glue Scissors Thread Optional: Glitter and Paint Note: This activity involves using scissors. Have an adult cut out the templates for any little ones.

DIY Holiday Decorations Snowflake Instructions

Creating Your Snowflakes

1. Print out the patterned snowflake templates, or have fun making your own designs.

2. Flip the paper around and fold the page in half length-wise.

3. Fold the paper to half its size along the bottom edge of the pattern.

5. Cut off the horizontal rectangular shape above the pattern. While still folded cut along the template to make the desired shape.

4. Fold the outer bottom edge up and diagonally so what was the bottom edge of the rectangle now aligns with the left edge. The diagonal fold should also align with the pattern.

6. Unfold the pattern carefully. Repeat with other patterns or your own designs to make your own winter wonderland.
