Happy Winter Solstice to you from the Superior String Alliance!

Superior String Alliance (SSA) is celebrating its 30th birthday this year! Your support enables SSA, a 501 (c) 3 organization, to promote the art of learning and performing music on violin, viola, cello and bass throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We invite you to join the SSA family by making a tax-deductible gift to help fund our growing Summer Music Camp and our community outreach concerts with the SSA Chamber Players.

Summer Music Camp 2015 takes place at Presbytery Point Camp in Michigamme, Michigan. Our camp serves string students in grades 4-12, most of whom are from the Upper Peninsula. Summer Music Camp provides an encouraging, active and fun environment in which string students can accomplish an academic semester's worth of work in a week. Our camp tuition is half the price of the music camps elsewhere. However, 30% of SSA students need some form of financial assistance to attend our camp. Your donation will help fund these students. Because of your help, we have never had to turn campers away due to lack of funds to pay tuition. Check out the back of this letter for more information about camp!

The SSA Chamber Players is comprised of the professional faculty members who teach and mentor students at SSA Music Camp. The Chamber Players perform concerts throughout the Upper Peninsula during the winter and summer. Please help SSA celebrate its 30th birthday by contributing a gift via the enclosed donation form and pre-addressed envelope. You can also make your gift directly on SSA's website at .

We look forward to hearing from you and wish you a joyous Winter Solstice!

Musically yours,

Danielle Simandl Executive Director & SSA Camp Music Director
