Tour Introduction: Introduce the Tour Guides and identify whether from HA & CUE or MG.Identify the name of the specific tour being conducted and the expected start and finish times (duration 45 minutes).Note that this is a walking tour. Gold certified complex completed in 2007, that is a model of environmental sustainability. It is a unique hub where students and arboretum visitors observe and promote ecological stewardship. Offers a variety of environmental programs, including nature camps and green events for schools, community groups, and other organizations, and is available for wedding photography and event bookings (permit required).Hosts a variety of special events each year such as Winter Wonderland, Maple Syrup Harvest, Snowshoe Tours, Owl Prowls, Earth Day, Biodiversity Day, Garden Parties, and a new series of Nature Tours conducted jointly with the Etobicoke Master Gardeners.Employs 7 full-time and from 10-30 (or more) part-time and seasonal employees.Contains trails, bridges and boardwalks through gardens, forests, meadows, ponds and wetlands. Learn what tress make our forest unique. Find and Scan the QR codes on the trees” developed by Climate’s Sake (was ACER) and Humber Arboretum Centre for Urban Ecology. Etobicoke Master Gardeners:Is one of 35 Groups that make up Master Gardeners of Ontario Inc. (MGOI), a volunteer organization comprised of individuals who are certified horticultural experts and who provide in-depth sustainable gardening information to the general public.Was formed in 2005 and today has 36 members, 26 of who are certified master gardeners and 10 are master gardeners in training. Each member is required to perform a minimum of 30 volunteer hours annually.Etobicoke Master Gardener members volunteer their time to a variety of activities including Speaking Sessions, Information Clinics at Nurseries, Garden Shows and various Community Events, as Tour Guides for Garden Tours, Humber Arboretum Tours and Canada Blooms, and participate in community events such as Connecting People with Plants at the Humber Arboretum, the Panorama Kipling Community Garden project, and many other activities. ................
