2022 Nursing License Renewals

Nursing License Renewals will open in early February 2022. Information will be sent to you via email if you validated your email address or via US Mail otherwise.

All nursing licenses in South Carolina expire on April 30th of even years. If your license was originally issued in 2021 and you have a 2022 expiration date, you will renew in 2022 and then your next renewal will be in 2024.

The fees are:

$75 (LPN & RN)

$105 (APRN WITHOUT Prescriptive Authority)

$145 (APRN WITH Prescriptive Authority)

You can find information about continued competency for renewal for LPNs and RNs on our website here: . You do not need to send verification of your competency to the Board unless otherwise requested to do so.

Competency for APRNs WITHOUT Prescriptive Authority is maintenance of their national certification. Please review the information listed for your license on our website here:

? To update your certification information, please send a copy of your certification to NurseBoard@llr.

? To update the physician(s) listed on your license please complete this form: OR (for CRNAs) and send to NurseBoard@llr.

APRNs WITH Prescriptive Authority are required to maintain their national certification AND complete 20 hours of pharmacotherapeutics with two of those hours in controlled substances. Do not send in the CE certificates unless you are otherwise requested to do so.
