Elmira Pet Products is currently recruiting for Packaging Operators on both our afternoon (3:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) and night (11:30 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.) shifts. These positions are full time (40 hrs/week) and offer pension, health and dental benefits after six months of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Package product ensuring good seals and legible, accurate date codes

• Pile skids and wrap according to fact sheet

• Set up and changeover packaging machinery making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient packaging of product

• Train new employees as required

• Sanitation duties as required

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience

• Physically capable of continuous heavy lifting up to 25 kg

• Basic computer skills

• Troubleshooting skills

• Proven attention to quality and detail

• Trained in equipment set-ups and adjustments an asset

• Experience with automated, robotic and pneumatic packaging equipment an asset

• Record keeping, and organizational skills.

• Positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP’s, and safety documents.

• Understand the importance of safety and quality.

RATE $18.29 to $20.88
