DESIRING SOMETHING THAT ʼ Again, this means wanting IS …

DESIRING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT YOURS

It is not okay with Jesus to want something or someone that is not ours that someone else has. It is all right to get the idea that you would like one too; but we shouldnt want to take what someone else has. If you do, you are coveting and that is wrong in Jesus eyes; and we want to please Jesus and do what is right, dont we?

This is what Gods Word says about coveting:

"Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house, and thou shalt not covet thy neighbors wife, nor his manservant, nor his maid servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbors." That is in the Book of Exodus, Chapter 20, verse 17.

In Deuteronomy 5, verse 21 says, Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbors wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbors house, his field or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or ass, or any thing that is thy neighbors."

Again, this means wanting somethin that someone else has got: To greatly desire, long for, lust after, to wish for, or, be desirous of. This is the Hebrew definition of this word in the Strongs Concordance of the Holy Bible; written so we can know what the words mean in English.

We need to know what the Holy Bible says concerning our life. This is so very important that we obey what God had put in His Holy Word. The Bible is our Instruction book for our life...our teacher, our guide for how to live.

The Authorized King James Bible is the best Bible to read. It is the only pure, unaltered Bible without man adding or deleting and changing the words in it. God preserved it for us to find and know. And those that are searching will find this version of the Bible, and will come to know that it is the right one. God said in Deuteronomy 4:2 and Proverbs 30:6 and Revelations 22:18, not to change His Word in any way.

We need to know and obey all the Commandments written in the Holy Bible and everything that Jesus said in the Gospels and what the Apostles said in the Epistles, too.

In the book of 2 Timothy 2, verse 15, Paul said: "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed; rightly dividing the Word of Truth."

And read this powerful verse about the Word of God. Read it often over time and you will understand more and more about how powerful the Word of God is. and how all encompassing the Word of God is! It reads you, as you read it! The Word of God knows what is in your mind and heart!

"For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12
