1. Copy the URL address from Internet Explorer of the site/content you would like to insert as a hyperlink within your document.

2. Open the Word document you would like to insert the hyperlink into and click on the Insert command tab and then select Hyperlink from the Links group.

3. From the Insert Hyperlink screen, select Existing File or Web Page from the Link To column on the left. Next, type the text you would like to display in the Text To Display box on the top and then paste the copied URL in the Address box at the bottom of the screen.

When finished, click OK to insert the link into your document.

Viewers of the document will now be able to click on the link by holding down their Ctrl key and left mouse clicking.

BONUS: Editing a Hyperlink

To edit a hyperlink within a Word document, follow the steps below: 1. Right mouse click on the hyperlink and select Edit Hyperlink 2. The Edit Hyperlink screen will now appear. Make the edit you would like to make. (i.e. Change the link text to display or change the URL address) 3. Click OK to save your changes.
