BE GRATEFUL: There are two words

BE GRATEFUL: There are two words

In the English language that mean more than

any others. They are, “Thank you.” Gratitude

can resolve disputes, strengthen friendships,

…it makes us better men and women. Try to

be grateful even when you face trails, as you

will. Count your blessings to see how long

that list really is.

BE SMART: The world will pay you, in large

measure according to what it thinks you are

worth, and your worth will increase as you gain

education. Train your mind and hands to be

an influence for good as you go forward in your life. Be wise; prepare for that which is ahead. Also be smart in your appearance and in your manners. Learn from other’s successes as well as their mistakes.

BE INVOLVED in good works. Most of us would rather play, but it is work that makes the difference between the gold medal athlete, and those who finish fractions later. Work is the best antidote for worry and the best medicine for despair. Nothing of true substance in our lives come to us without work.

BE CLEAN: Everything looks better when it is clean, and that includes us. We live in a world filled with filth and sleeze. You cannot afford to let that filthy poison touch you. Shun it like the plague. Don’t rent degrading videos or listen to vulgar music. Avoid evil talk. Don’t take the name of the Lord in vain. Profanity is the sign of an uneducated, uncultured man or woman. Do not disfigure your body with tattoos, or expose yourself to pornography. It will destroy you.

BE TRUE: Be true to whatever you believe to be right. Be true to the parents who have raised you, be true to the name you bear and the land aand country you live in. Be true to your friends, but most of all be true to you. Stand up for what you believe in your classrooms, with your friends, in your homes, and in society. Be true by always telling the truth.

BE POSITIVE: There is good all around us – if we only look for it. Enjoy the sunlight and look a little deeper for the good. Still our inner voices of insult and sarcasm, and instead generously compliment virtue and hard effort. Speak more of each other’s positive qualities than of our faults. Let optimism replace pessimism, that our faith will conquer our fears.

BE HUMBLE: If we are without conceit, pride, and arrogance, then we can ask God to lead us by the hand. Resolve today to dedicate a part of yourself to others in need Recognize that everything you are and that you have are gifts from our Father in Heaven.

We are all equal in HIS eyes.

BE STILL: The world is so noisy, our lives are so busy. Find time to drown out the noise of the world. Find time to think about your life. “Be still, and know that I am God”

Psalm 46:10

BE PRAYERFUL: You need God’s help, and you know you cannot do it alone. He hears, and he answers, not always as we would wish, but there is no doubt that HE answers. Communicating with your Father in Heaven can bring you peace, comfort, and wisdom
