The attached scholarship application form is designed to provide information to help the committee to validate the student’s desire and eligibility to receive the scholarship.All students who attend a public, private, or charter school or who are homeschooled in the designated areas are eligible for consideration. All completed applications must be delivered to the Eustis Sergeant’s Major Association, no later than May 15, 2021.?All applicants must enter an accredited college or university, or attend a two-year vocational or training school on a full-time basis?in the upcoming year.The scholarship is a single year award of $500. One to three scholarships will be awarded this year. The financial status of the student’s family is not factor in their consideration for this award.APPLICANT SUBMISSION CHECKLISTCompleted Cover Sheet (pg.4) and Application (pg.6) – Type in responses, print out a hardcopy to submit.Current Transcript – Attach an official or verified transcript with your application. Transcript must contain GPA, to include fall semester grades for the current academic year. The transcript must be validated (signed and dated) by the school official providing the information.Essay – Provide a 500 to 1,000-word essay response to only one of the following questions. Submissions must be double spaced in 12-point Arial font.What lessons of leadership, culture, and/or work ethic will your generation add to America’s labor force?Describe how the military or a military person has shaped your ethical development or worldview.Do you think it is important to have a dedicated military to have a strong democracy? Relatives are not eligible to provide letters.
