In some countries around the world, it forms just one part of the larger Mental Illness Awareness Week.The Northern Ireland IOSH Branch are committed to supporting and improving Mental Health awareness in the workplace and are one of the three founding members of the Workplace Health Leadership Group (NI). The group are actively exploring opportunities on a sector by sector basis for Northern Ireland, starting with Construction. The Northern Ireland IOSH Branch have now introduced an occupational health sector within the group headed by Richard McIvor, Past Chair, who is working closely with likeminded bodies to promote awareness.The NI Branch will team up with HSENI and BuildhealthNI to run an Occupational and Mental Health seminar which will take place on Wednesday 18 October in the CAFRE, Greenmount Campus in Antrim.
