Tanks of World War IStudents will work in a group to create a battery powered tank, in the style of a WWI tank. Students will need to describe the tanks purpose, when tanks were used, and how successful they were. Students will also need to write a paragraph describing what it was like riding in a WWI tank in battle. Students will need to discuss the use of airplanes in the war, give the type of plane they created, the nation it flew for, and discuss the lives of some of the Aces of WWI. Students will also need to write a paragraph describing what it was like to be a pilot in World War I. The continent of Africa should be drawn in detail, and color-coded for the European Power that controlled them. On the back of the map, students should have short writing addressing each of the following:What was the Berlin Conference?What were some specific reasons for Imperialism in Africa?What were some consequences of imperialism in Africa?Who was King Leopold? What was his impact on the Congo?What was the Boer War?World War One Animated MapIn this project, students will create a detailed map of World War 1 in Europe. The map should include the following:1. At least 10 small insets with names and dates of battles2. Color Coded countries based upon alliances3. A line denoting the furthest advances of the German Army.4. Illustrations of U-boat activity in the North Sea.5. Major cities labeled (Paris, Moscow, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, Constantinople, London, Sarajevo)Animated Timeline of WWIStudents will create and animated timeline of the events leading up to, through, and finishing World War 1. The students can either use an online program such as Tiki-Toki or Prezi to complete the timeline. The timeline must include the following:A date, and illustration (photo, political cartoon, etc) for each event.20 events from the time periodGraphic Novel of the Bolshevik RevolutionIn this Project, students will research the October Revolution led by the Bolseviks in Russia. The final product should be an illustrated graphic novel of the events leading up to and through the Revolution. A successful project will include the following:At least 25 detailed and colored picturesAt least 10 pieces of Specific Factual Information included within the story lineDetails about the Revolution.What the ultimate result of the revolution is. ................
