Instructor Updates and Clinical Partnership Experiences

2017 Graduates ? Employment Opportunities (handout ? graduation program 2017 and pinning ceremony handouts)

Student Representative Updates

ProctorU is a new and secure online testing solution for the college. ATI is a new comprehensive learning system that enhances what the students need to know. ATI has replaced Kaplan. Student feedback on ProctorU and ATI has been positive. Students are finishing with labs and getting ready for clinical. The instructors and students are assigned to clinical locations. There were 76 graduates in the AD (RN) program and 50 graduates in the PN program. Many more students went part time this year than last year trying to juggle work and family. All campuses participated in the graduation ceremony with Granite Falls, Pipestone and Worthington hosting pinning ceremonies for the nursing students. Job postings can be uploaded into College Central on the Minnesota West College website and flyers can be emailed to Jodi and Dawn to hang up in our hallways. Best to target students at the end of the semester when they seem to be looking for employment. Career Expo days are also used for recruiting. Morgan LeBrun ? AS student & Mary Flanagan ? PN student were both in attendance. Both indicated that they like Proctor U. Both agree that ATI is beneficial to enhance learning. They said that faculty has been very helpful and receptive to answering questions.

Feedback I receive from students is that long term care does not offer much at clinicals. Maybe

the clinicals may need to allow students more experience that is challenging.

None ? fabulous ? thanks for having students here!

I think it is great and beneficial to hear about the needs of our clinical partners. Recruitment is

huge now. I think it is beneficial to try to get clinical partners here during spring seminar days.

Maybe offer different times for different clinical partners
