Writing the Introduction
The Introduction should have the following components:
1. The Topic Sentence: One sentence that includes the topic of the essay and your opinion/point of view about the topic
• Supporting Sentences (3): Three main ideas supporting your opinion on the topic (one sentence for each supporting idea). You will need to discuss each supporting idea in the body of your essay.
• Thesis should be your closing sentence.
