Due: Friday, April 12th
Use your imagination, and imagine that you have discovered a secret room in the school that no one else knows about. Write about what you would do in this situation. (Who would you tell?, Where is the room located?, What would you do in the room?, etc.)
Be sure to include the following aspects of figurative language in your assignment, and color code them accordingly. (Include at least one example of each type of figurative language: simile, metaphor, personification, hyperbole)
Either underline or box each example with the appropriate color. Once you are finished, provide an illustration to accompany your story.
Simile – red
Metaphor – blue
Personification – yellow
Hyperbole – green
*Your assignment will be scored 5 points for each correct use of figurative language. (simile, metaphor, personification, and hyperbole) Also 5 points will be earned for a colored illustration depicting your story.
