FOCUS AND MOTIVATE

❑ Focus on the Spanish alphabet, on how to say the letters to spell words, and on the countries that make up the entire Spanish-speaking world, pp. 10 and 12–13.

TEACH

❑ Have students repeat the several letters of the Spanish alphabet, and the words on page 10

❑ Show internet video from to teach ABC

❑ Use TXT CD 1 track 9 to practice the pronunciation of the Spanish vowels, p. 11

❑ Introduce Los países hispanohablantes (Spanish-speaking countries)
