Wyoming Hunt Information

A non-resident of Wyoming must enter a draw to have a chance at acquiring a license to hunt in the state for Elk, Deer, Antelope and Moose. To draw out, you must have enough preference points. When you put in for the hunt of choice, it is required that you purchase the Hunting License at that time. If you draw out, the license and a copy of the regulations will be mailed to you within 15 days of the draw results. If you don't draw out, then they will reimburse you, minus the nonrefundable application fee of $15. Bear tags are over the counter and you do not need to draw out.

PREFERENCE POINTS You can purchase one preference point per year for each species (antelope, deer, elk, moose, sheep). Purchase a

preference point during the application period of July 1 to October 31, of each year. Each hunter is allowed one point per year. You can purchase your preference points or find out more on the Wyoming
