The Pronghorn Ranch is a scenic 18,000 acre working cattle ranch, which offers great hunting opportunities each fall. Jay’s Great Grandfather, Tom Robinson homesteaded this area of Eastern Wyoming prairie that teems with a variety of wildlife, including numerous herds of Antelope.

* Antelope hunt rates for 2010: Three day Rifle hunt or a four day Archery hunt is $1,000. A 50% deposit is required ($500.00 will reserve agreed upon dates). Remaining fee will be due upon your arrival. The hunt drawing is March 15th and all antelope hunters in the past few years have been successful in obtaining a license in areas 26 and 29. Most years will have left over licenses available for purchase through the season.

* Opening Dates: Archery- Aug. 15th, Rifle Area 26- Sept. 24th, Area 29- Oct. 1st.

* Lodging: Included in the fee are accommodations in a remodeled, authentic two room country school house. One classroom has been outfitted with a bunk room and 5 beds, the second has a full kitchen including cooking facilities with an electric stove and oven, sink, refrigerator and wood stove for heat. There is a bathroom and a shower.

* Not included: Meals, transportation to the ranch and Wyoming Game and Fish licenses ($286 for buck antelope). For information, see online Wyoming Game and Fish Department; call 307-777-4600, antelope hunt area 26 or 29.
