ANADARKO IS ... PROVIDING FOR TODAY, INNOVATING FOR TOMORROW

Anadarko Petroleum Corporation's mission is to deliver a competitive and sustainable rate of return to shareholders by exploring for, acquiring and developing oil and natural gas resources vital to the world's health and welfare. As of year-end 2013, the company had approximately 2.79 billion barrels-equivalent of proved reserves, making it one of the world's largest independent exploration and production companies.

Anadarko in Wyoming

Anadarko is among the largest landowners, leaseholders, taxpayers and producers in Wyoming, and a key operator in the Powder River, Green River and Washakie Basins, as well as the Salt Creek field. Additionally, the company holds significant mineral ownership positions along the historic Union Pacific Railroad Land Grant. Through its Wyoming operations, Anadarko produces enough energy to heat or cool more than 4 million average American homes daily.

Innovative Production Methodologies

Anadarko is committed to a collaborative approach with key stakeholders and regulatory agencies to safely and responsibly develop

energy resources vital to Wyoming's economy and America's energy security, health and welfare.

? Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR): In the Salt Creek and the Monell fields Anadarko's EOR operations are some of the largest CO2 sequestration projects in the world. In this unique process, Anadarko purchases carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, that otherwise would be vented to the atmosphere, and injects it into subsurface, oil-bearing reservoirs beneath each field. The CO2 stimulates the oil and moves it to the wellhead. In these two fields, Anadarko plans to sequester 50 million tons of CO2 throughout the life of the projects ? the equivalent of taking 500,000 cars off the road each day.

? CBM: Anadarko is a major producer of coalbed methane (CBM) in Wyoming. The company's CBM operations are located in the Powder River Basin of northeast Wyoming where natural gas is stored in coal seams. To produce the natural gas, water is extracted, reducing pressure and enabling the natural gas to flow to the wellhead.

? Alternatives: Anadarko also owns interests in several wind farms, as well as other mineral properties, through non-operated joint ventures and royalty arrangements located within, and adjacent to, our Land Grant acreage.

Projects include efforts to monitor elk and sage grouse populations, mule deer migration patterns, and the construction of a 48-mile water pipeline to conserve and store water.

Other ongoing environmental projects include:

? Enhancing elk and sage grouse habitats through sponsorship of biological studies, monitoring programs, seeding and reclamation efforts;

? Reseeding thousands of acres preventing invasive species and restoring production areas; and

? Working with Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to manage produced water and reduce mosquito populations
