The reason for the red asterisks next to certain hunt codes for deer and elk was not entirely clear at the time of publication.

The information is:

DEER: 27, 28

ELK: 45, 49, 50, 51

A total of 8 hunt codes (4 deer and 4 elk) in the rifle hunt code tables have dates that are still subject to approval at the March Commission meeting. These hunt codes are marked with a red asterisk.

Customers can find this information under "Need to Know" in the Deer and Elk sections, pages 20 and 35.
