Steps to Configure Windows 7 Network Settings

Perform the following steps to configure Windows 7 network settings on your computer.

1. Click the Start button. 2. Click Control Panel. In the search box (upper left corner), type adapter. Under Network and Sharing Center, click View

network connections.

3. Right-click the connection and click Properties.

4. Click the Networking tab and click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then click Properties.

5. On the General tab, select Obtain an IP address automatically, then select Obtain DNS server address automatically. 6. Click Advanced.

7. On Advanced TCP/IP Settings, select the IP Settings tab. Verify that the IP Address is DHCP Enabled.
