This letter is designed to give you a brief overview of the service you have ordered from Comcast and provide you with the information you need to prepare for installation and to get started using the service.
Comcast Workplace Service Features include:
? 100% Pure Broadband TM Connection ? the connection speeds will vary dependant on the service you have ordered *
? 7 e-mail addresses (10 MB each) or Optional Business Class e-mail (20 MB each @)
? Optional Business Class Web Hosting ? Domain Name Service for your primary domain ? 24/7 Business Class customer support ? A Comcast installed and maintained IP gateway. This gateway provides connectivity, firewall
service and networking support **
Depending on the package you have ordered, there may be an additional charge for some optional services.
What to expect next:
In the next few days, a member of our service installation team will contact you to coordinate the installation of your service. The timing of your installation may vary depending on your specific installation and whether or not your location requires custom installation.
What Comcast will do:
? Complete a custom installation, if applicable, subject to payment by you of the custom installation charges.
? Connect your office to our 100% Pure BroadbandTM network using a Comcast-provided IP Gateway (integrated router/modem)
? Configure and install the Comcast equipment at your business. Connect this equipment to your local network.
? After the technician installs the IP gateway, we will contact you within a few business days to set-up any additional services, including Business Class e-mail. Please do not disconnect your current service until all your services are transferred, including domain name service, Business Class e-mail and web hosting.
? If you have requested e-mail, Comcast will create the primary account. You can create up to 6 additional accounts at . This site also contains instructions for configuring Outlook Express. (Please note: for support, please call the Business Internet Center at 888-205-5000).
? Help transfer your existing domain to our name servers and modify and maintain your domain records.

? If you have ordered Business Class e-mail we will set up the primary e-mail account and provide you with instructions for creating and maintaining your remaining e-mail accounts.
? If you have ordered Business Web site hosting, we will create space for your site on our servers. You (or your webmaster) will receive an e-mail with specific instructions for loading your site content to our servers.
What you need to do to:
? Have your network administrator or technical contractor complete Section 2 of the attached form before your scheduled installation. Our installer will need this information to install your service and configure the IP Gateway**.
? Make sure your network administrator or technical contractor is on-site or available by phone for your scheduled installation appointment.
? Have your Local Area Network set up and running. You are responsible for integrating and troubleshooting your Local Area Network and configuring and maintaining all servers, including your e-mail server on your network.
? Install and set up your e-mail software (such as Outlook Express). ? Make sure you have the information necessary to transfer your domain. When you registered your
domain, you were asked to create a login and password to manage your domain account. Please make sure you have this information ready so that we may assist in you in transferring your domain. If you do not have this information, please contact your domain registration company to obtain this information. ? If you have ordered Business e-mail, you will need to create individual user accounts. Notify Comcast when you are ready for us to update your domain records. ? If you have ordered Business Web site hosting, you (or your webmaster) will need to load your site content to our servers. Notify Comcast when you are ready for us to update your Domain records.
