For Families Public Access to Xfinity Wi-Fi

For SPS families needing access to Wi-Fi for no cost, please follow these steps: 1. Open wifi on your mobile device. 2. Enter your address or zip code to find the closest Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspot named "xfinitywifi". These public hotspots can be found in near some businesses and outside in commercial areas. 3. Before leaving home, check to see if there is an "xfinitywifi" available nearby (see Step 6) 4. You will get a free two-hour session. You may renew your session when it expires. 5. Once you enter your address or zip code, you will see a map like this: a. Zoom in using the + and ? buttons at the bottom right of the map. b. Blue circles show public hotspots.

6. When you arrive to a location near you, select the internet icon on your taskbar at the bottom of your screen. It may look like this (every device is a little different, so connect to Wi-Fi with your system settings):

7. Once you select your internet icon,select the "xfinitywifi" and select "Connect"

8. After connecting to the public "xfinitywifi" network, open a web browser. You will see an Xfinity page asking you to review "Terms & Conditions". Select "ACCEPT AND CONNECT"

9. If you see the page below, you are trying to connect to a non-public Xfinity hotspot and should search for a public Wi-Fi hotspot again.
