A “roamin'” Catholic.. Grand Knight’s Message The month of October is dedicated to the?Holy Rosary.?The Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7. October falls during the liturgical season known as?Ordinary Time, which is represented by the liturgical color green. This symbol of hope is the color of the sprouting seed and arouses in the faithful the hope of reaping the eternal harvest of heaven, especially the hope of a glorious resurrection. It is used in the offices and Masses of Ordinary Time. The Holy Father's IntentionsThe Laity's Mission in the Church:?We pray that by the virtue of baptism, the laity, especially women, may participate more in areas of responsibility in the Church.Unfortunately, our annual Italian Night dinner will not be held in October due to Covid-19. Please pray that an approved Covid-19 vaccine will be available in the next few months so that we can once again have fully attended prayerful, happy and healthy gatherings in our church community. In addition, please pray that we will be able to do the same for our day-to-day activities throughout family, local, country, and worldwide communities.God Bless,Grand Knight Ray Masson **** Scam Alert****As you are all aware, last week there was another series of emails that caught our attention that was supposedly sent by Fr. Mike Monette and other priests that had a fraudulent sender email address. It was asking for several Knights to donate eBay and Amazon Gift cards and instructed them to send back in a reply the access codes to the gift cards. Thank God it was caught! As it was discovered, this scam was nationwide throughout the K of C Organization with many Parishes that are affiliated with us according to Terry Clark who is one of the administrators of the ( K of C Website Admin). Rule of thumb if it looks fraudulent then it is fraudulent! Keep Vigilant and protect yourself and your fellow brother Knights. If you should receive anything that looks out of the ordinary, you should notify the council and in this case the church and its admin immediately. This way we can help stop our members and their families from being scammed.Excellent Article on Phishing Emails!!! A must read!
