Grow the Game Grant Application Guidelines and Instructions

Through the Grow the Game (GTG) Grant, USTA Texas provides funding to eligible Community Tennis Associations, local non-profit organizations, public tennis facilities and schools looking to implement new and innovative tennis opportunities in their community.

The purpose of a GTG grant is to provide one-time assistance through equipment and/or monetary funds that allows a local provider to begin a new program that is consistent with the USTA Texas mission. The goal of this grant is to provide the resources that will ultimately allow a local program to become self-sufficient.

All grants will be evaluated by a Grants Committee. After thorough evaluation, the committee will determine the application’s eligibility and what, if any, grant assistance will be awarded. All interested grant applicants must go through application process with local TSR before being submitted to USTA Texas office.

Grant Applications Must Include:

• Business plan (proposal that includes budget, personnel and operations)

• Marketing plan

• Follow-up plan

• Income information (this includes registration fees, sponsorships, in-kind donations, etc)

The required plans listed above must clearly demonstrate the organization’s need as well as strategy for longevity and attempt to become self-sufficient.

The Grant Committee reviews all applications and awards funding based on:

• Need

• Impact on the community (number of people reached)

• Organization’s grant history with USTA Texas

• Organization’s involvement with local CTA

Eligible organizations have the potential of receiving up to $10/participant through monetary funding

and/or equipment support.
