PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

GOALS/PROJECTS FOR NEXT YEAR SET COOPERATIVELY BY DIRECTOR AND TEACHER:

Assist new staff in developing lesson plans and room arrangement. Attend training on the new literacy curriculum that will be implemented next year.

PLAN FOR AREAS NEEDING IMPROVEMENT (This plan is intended to provide support in these areas and to assure that there is improvement in order to maintain the integrity of our mission):

Child assessments and portfolios as well as plans for individual children based on assessments have to be up-to-date. To ensure that this standard is met, you will meet with the director two weeks before assessments are due and, together, develop a schedule for assessments that will give you sufficient time to complete them by their due date. A copy of the completed schedule will be placed in the director's mailbox to verify that all child assessments have been done.

If there is an incident requiring a report, you will ask the floater, or another available staff person to cover your class while you complete the appropriate report. That person can deliver it to the office so that it can be filed immediately. Reports submitted will be complete with a detailed description of the incident and what actions were taken and by whom. TOTAL SCORE: 29 NUMBER OF ITEMS: 10 OVERALL SCORE 2.9
