Study in the “2-5-1” “Circle of Fifths” (classically notated as: “II-V-I”). The “Take Me Home” chorus highlights the 2-5-1 that is called the “jazz turnaround” which is musically identical to the “1-4-5” in most folk songs. In Choruse2 the 6 (VI) is added making the phrase 2-5-1-6. The verse extends the circle upwards and then all the way down (home): 2-5-3-6-2-5-1-1. The bass guitar does 3-4 rhythm accents based on Nigerian Highlife patterns. “Salsa Romantica” violin rhythm section arrangement.

Based on the Chakras or seven energy centers in the human body that are each associated with an endocrine gland. Synchronized with the major music scale’s leading tones, the transition from 3 to 4, considered raising awareness from the stomach to the heart level and the transition from 7 to 1, considered going from the crown chakra to ‘the next level,’ are focused on: “For Love” is leading to the 4th step or heart chakra, “For All” is the 7th step or crown chakra leading to the next level. In the modulation to minor key the 3-4 transition anticipates the beat as the scale does naturally. Right hand chords demonstrate rhythmic unity playing 4 beats with the thumb and 3 with the rest of the chord.

Teo’s “Montunau” style, Latin Jazz Montuno taken back through Brazil to Nigerian Highlife. 1-6-2-5 that the third time implies 3-6 and the fourth time is 3-6-2-5. The second section fuses Rumba percussion parts onto music instruments. The spelling denotes Caribbean Rumba drumming not Spanish Rhumba. The bass plays the “Segundo” drum pattern, the right hand plays the “Palito” (little sticks) pattern. Then the right hand plays “Rumba Clave” rhythm in chromatic Dominant(7+9) and Dominant(13) chords. The third section is A minor bass and chromatic leading tone chords then G minor the same—then with the same minor chromatic chord pattern the bass “pads” a D-A fifth for the A minor, C-G for the G minor transforming them from sad minor into joyful D7 and C7 chords.
