Third-Party Websites and Applications The MTRA uses social media websites and other kinds of third-party websites. The MSTRA uses social media websites to interact and communicate with members and potential members in promoting current and future programs and events. Social media websites are used to publicize programs and events and engage with members and the general public. The MSTRA also uses social media measurement technologies to help measure the number of visitors to our social media platforms to help make our platforms more useful to visitors and members. In some cases, the third-party social media platforms may request an email address, username, password, and geographic location (e.g., State, region, or ZIP code) for account registration purposes. The MSTRA does not use third-party platforms to solicit and collect PII from individuals. Any PII passively collected (i.e., not solicited) by the third-party social media application will not be transmitted or stored by the MSTRA; no PII will be disclosed, sold or transferred to any other entity outside of the MSTRA, unless required for law enforcement purposes or by statute. The MSTRA use these surveys for specific purposes, which are explained at the time they are posted. The MSTRA retains the data from the survey results as long as needed to support the mission of the organization. Security The MSTRA takes the security of all PII very seriously.
