Toss-Ups

1) A variation of this game swaps its regular ball for a tennis ball and equips both players with paddles. The two main hitting styles in it use either a fist or an outstretched palm, although advanced techniques use the pinky and the side of the hand to obtain more control on the angle of the ball. While there are no official rules exist, some variants require the ball to rotate four times or for the receiver to hit the ball before the server is able to hit the ball again. FTP, identify this sport often played in elementary school that consists two opposing players trying to wrap a ball around a pole in a certain direction.

2) Their only released album has a cover that features a train under a pink sky coming towards the viewer, and that album contained the minor hit "Spaceman." A techno remix of their most popular song done by DJ Miko was briefly a hit on YouTube when He-Man was edited to seem like he was singing it. The only member of this band to go on to a notable music career was vocalist Linda Perry who wrote music for Pink and Christina Aguilera. It originally began as a version of Rugby in England and Scotland using a ball made of Indian rubber, while today the ball is made up of waterproof nylon. Major fouls in this game, indicated by a pointing referee blowing a whistle, include being on an opponent’s back and sinking an opponent. 8) Originally planned as a double album, B-Sides that did not make the eleven track final product included "Walk to the Water" and "Spanish Time." The fourth track on this album sharply criticizes the United State’s policy of military intervention in El Salvador, while Norman Mailer’s The Executioner’s Song inspired its penultimate track, "Exit." American folk themes can be heard on the track "Running to Stand Still", and the popularity of the album landed the band on the cover of the April 27, 1987 issue of Time Magazine. Half of the contestants wear heavy padding and helmets, and mattresses are used to soften their landing. 10) Slate launched a three part series to find a customer service line for this entity and also published an article about the growing trend of importing Japanese cards for it to access a less restricted library. On February 23, 2006, Alex Ostrovsky purchased Speed of Sound by Coldplay from it, the billionth song downloaded from this service. 11) The eXtreme version of this game stresses very difficult courses in environments such as drainage basins and thick woods, and another version of the game takes place on bicycles. Professional matches are heavily refereed to make sure that both competitors are legally locked in place, and if a match cannot get started the referee will tightly bond both competitors together. The Toproll is a popular technique used to gain leverage on a strong opponent in this sport, while the hook technique is used frequently by beginners. The game that this object lends its name to was originally played with seven red and seven yellow balls, while today any foul committed when trying to pocket this object is grounds to lose the game.
