Getting Started in Blackboard (F2F Workshop)

Sign up for a Youtube Account at Download and install Video Booth from here: careful to ONLY install Video Booth – decline everything else!Connect your Webcam (if using a USB external webcam) Set your default recording devices in Windows Launch Video Booth – click Try to use the free version.Press the video camera icon to start recording from your webcam, press stop when finished. After you’re finished, Video Booth will let you watch your video to make sure you’re happy with it. The free version will only let you upload to Youtube, you have to buy the full version to save the videos locally. (But there is a workaround.) Press the Youtube button, fill in your Youtube info, and press Upload. The video will upload automatically to your Youtube account (the perfect place for embedding into Blackboard!) However you still might want to have a version to save to your computer, if so, click on the arrow next to the Edit button in your Video Manager in Youtube.Select Download MP4 from the drop-down menu and save the video wherever you like. If for some reason the Download option is not available, visit the website and follow the instructions to easily download any Youtube video.Video Booth is a very simple way to record your webcam. I’d stay away from using the effects, but they’re there if you want to play with them. ................
