MCKINLEY MUSIC- SUMMER, 2020Hi, Mavericks! I hope you find some time to enjoy music. There are two ways you can do this: on a computer, phone or tablet... and off.ON A COMPUTER, PHONE OR TABLET- First, every school day you could watch the video that I posted for you. Google “mckinley musical moments youtube” and you will find my site. I hope you think it’s fun! You could watch the videos you missed, too.MONDAYS- Musiclab. has a mind-blowing collection of scientific music activities for all ages. This is incredible! Visual Musical Minds. There are lots of videos to watch, sing along with, even dance along with. Quaver Music has lots of clips on YouTube. They are music lessons in the style of Bill Nye the Science Guy. Lots of fun. has a great collection of the best music apps especially for younger students. Pick some out and have fun. . Henry’s Music World is a series of videos for kids with all kinds of music stuff! You are still part of the fun!! Here are some ideas... and I know you’ll find your own ideas too!MONDAYS- Take a song you know and write your own new words to it.TUESDAYS- Find a short poem or paragraph and sing it. Use your own notes. WEDNESDAYS- Learn to juggle. Juggling well requires rhythm. Start with scarves. They move more slowly through the air.THURSDAYS-Make up a Stomp routine. Stomp uses everyday items to make up a dance routine. Brooms, balls, buckets... use your imagination!FRIDAYS-Pick a dance or move that you like to do. How slow can you do it?
