Resilience Training Media Reference Playlist

Resilience Training Media Reference Playlist

JUN 2014

VIDEO GUIDANCE Use of video clips as part of resilience training serves to clarify material, demonstrate reallife application of the content, engage audience interest, and stimulate thought and discussion.

1.

The list of video clips is intended as a resource for MRT Training Teams to use

within MRT Courses and for MRTs to use within unit-level training. These video clips

have been approved for use in resilience training by the University of Pennsylvania.

2.

CSF2 may not provide videos to trainers due to copyright laws.

3.

Links are provided for convenience, although most videos can be found using

YouTube or similar video webcasting sites using the title as part of a keyword

search. CSF2 cannot be responsible for auxiliary content on commercial sites.

4.

Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of coordinating slide numbers

and titles. However, it is possible that this resource may contain errors, or that

future curriculum changes may affect the information contained within. MRTs are

responsible for keeping individual training notes updated.

5.

Please be sure to consult the Trainer Notes on the corresponding slide for full

details for how to prebrief, debrief, and hold discussion as related to the video clip.

MUSIC GUIDANCE While music is not essential to conduct training, research tells us that music in the classroom can influence heartbeat, stimulate thinking, and aid in the release of emotions. Incorporate music purposefully to warm up, cool down, get energized, or mark an important occurrence in the course.

1.

While CSF2 does not require that music be played during the MRT Course nor unit-

level training, this playlist is intended for informational purposes only, as musical

options that could be played during training.

2.

CSF2 may not provide music to trainers due to copyright laws.

3.

This music playlist is based on a compilation of several lists that have been in

existence for some time, the Version 3 curriculum (released MAR 2014), and recent

new music releases.

4.

Song lyrics have been screened for appropriateness, including noticeable profanity

and anti-military sentiments. Failure to use music from this recommended list is at

the risk of the PI, NCOIC, training team, or MRT.

5.

In most cases, there is more than one song option for a particular place in the

training. Choose the song(s) that fit the tone and energy level of the class and/or

training team. You will likely need only 1-2 songs per time slot.

6.

For Day 5, there is a "local flair" option to match locations of CSF2 training venues,

to play as students exit for the day.

7.

Use prudence when playing music; keep the volume at a reasonable level and do

not saturate the learning environment with too much music.
