Help NEST and Honor One of Our Own. The Rev. Larry Richards (HR) and his wife Evie spent many years serving in Iraq and Lebanon. When he served as an Associate Pastor at Oakland Avenue Presbyterian Church in the early 1990s he shared his interest in the Middle East with Providence Presbytery. Today we have mission programs within the presbytery that continue to focus on the Middle East. Larry will celebrate his 90th birthday on December 6. If you would like to honor Larry, the Mission & Outreach MT suggests that you make a gift in Larry's name for the Near East School of Theology in Beirut where Larry once worked. NEST was damaged during the explosion in the port earlier this year. Make your check out to Providence Presbytery and mail to the office 515 Oakland Ave., Rock Hill, SC 29730, by December 6. When we respond to Christ's call to "give them something to eat," we make a difference in the lives of our sisters and brothers who are hungry here at home in Chester, Kershaw, Lancaster, Union, and York Counties and those who are farther away in Guatemala, Honduras, and Malawi. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic problems, the need for our dimes is greater than ever before. Please be as generous as you can this year. If you have already given your dimes this year, perhaps you will consider an additional end of the year gift. Thank you for sharing your dimes and your love!

If you have a Car, Truck, SUV or Van--You Can Help! Society of St. Andrews needs people to get food to local agencies within the 17 county Charlotte Metro Area (NC and SC). While the pandemic has caused increased food insecurity in our area, the generosity of farmers, distributors, and our volunteers has allowed us to move more food than ever! But we need your help. Several of our longtime drivers have had to step down, and we need people to help us fill the gap, allowing us to get food to as many people as possible all year long. Can you help? Our agencies and neighborhoods all over the area depend on drivers to get food to them. If you have flexible hours and would like to build a relationship with some of our great recipients, we would love to plug you in. Oakland Avenue to Livestream Beehtoven Legacy Chamber Concert. On November 21 at 7PM, Angela Massey (flute), Claire Solomon (cello), and Chee-Hang See (piano) present a concert on the legacy of Beethoven and his influence on classical music. The program will include duos and trios to feature each musician with works by Beethoven's student, Carl Czerny; Robert Schumann; and Beethoven's magnificent "Gassenhauer" Trio.
