Please Note

Due to the rise in COVID-19 infections in the area, I have taken the decision to close the church building and live stream the Worship Service at 11.30 am from Ballinamallard Church. I am aware that this is not ideal and some may disagree with the decision, but I have taken this decision as I think it is in the best interests of the congregation. MCI have confirmed also that no church meetings can take place in the church until 6th February 2021.

If you have any Pastoral needs or questions of any kind, please do not hesitate to contact Rev Beacom.

Girls Brigade Update

Our GB company had a very successful first meeting on Zoom for a catch-up before Christmas.  It was lovely to see the girls and we had a very enjoyable evening with a Christmas quiz.  The leaders continue to use the platform to meet with the older girls on our usual Thursday evening from the beginning of January; Juniors on a fortnightly basis and Seniors/Brigaders weekly.  There has been singing, devotionals, games (even using the whiteboard function, all new to us leaders!) and time for chat.  With the Seniors and Brigaders we have also started using the 'Shaken' resource included in their Christmas packs which we hope will help them in choosing healthy ways of coping with the stresses in life.  Connection with our Explorers also continues via videos sent to parents on WhatsApp.  With recent confirmation from GBNI that there will be no return to face-to-face indoor activities for the 2020/21 session leaders will continue to engage with GB members online.  Outdoor face-to-face activities will be kept under review by GBNI but remain suspended under current government guidelines.

We would really appreciate your prayers for our members and indeed all children and young people.  It has been, and continues to be, a very challenging and stressful time for many of them and their families, especially with the return to an extended period of remote learning.  The older children, along with P7's doing transfer tests, have had the added strain of uncertainty over exams and now, looking ahead to how they will be assessed in the absence of them.  Please also pray for families, our school teachers and support staff, youth leaders and our youth minister Naomi as we try to support them the best we can.
