It has been quite a challenge but, so far, our Club has managed to continue with a few projects. We have continued to help the community in smaller ways. In the fall, and again in January, we sent notecards to the residents of the Belknap County Nursing Home, with a note in each one, to remind them that Altrusa is still thinking of them and hoping to brighten their day. We waited until after the holidays to send them notecards?to help them get through the winter blues and to remind them Altrusa is thinking of them. We will continue this project until we are able to visit the Nursing Home. Barbara D., Barbara L. and Sue are checking on our little free library in Vista and restocking it as needed. Our Governor, Linda Ring, is keeping us informed with her President’s monthly zoom meetings. District Committee Members are also holding monthly meetings.? The last one was about the newsletter and In February Rita Cote is presenting a training session. This session will be sharing ideas that have worked during Covid for other clubs and fundraising ideas. All members are invited to join these meetings. The District conference will be held April 23 and 24 and it will be a zoom conference.? More details will follow soon. The District Board has worked very hard on this Virtual Conference and I hope that many of you will consider attending.I can’t wait for spring and some milder weather and with any luck we may all have gotten the vaccine and we will be able to meet outdoors.Stay well,Carla00President’s MessageGood Morning Ladies,What a year this has been trying to stay healthy and safe from Covid. Due to very small numbers of members who will attend, and delays in disseminating the COVID vaccine, the District Board voted to change our 2021 Conference to a Virtual one, and cancel the hotel contract as planned. The Board and Committee Chairs will meet on January 16th to discuss all aspects of the formerly planned conference, and how to re-format moving forward. We are considering the business that needs to be addressed, as well as your personal comfort, time spent in front of the computer screen, and our ability to somehow ‘get us all together’ in some fashion.
