PLANETS POWER POINT PROJECT
PLANETS POWER POINT PROJECT
OBJECTIVE
The students will:
a) use websites and library resources to gather information about a planet and its moons
b) work in small groups to plan a slideshow presentation using a power point template
c) work in small groups to create a slideshow for their assigned planet (must include the planet’s moons)
d) present their assigned planet
DIRECTIONS
1. You will be divided into 8 groups; each group will be assigned a different planet.
2. Using the library resources and internet each group will research their planet and its moons. Listed below are some websites you may use, the librarian has also set aside a cart of book resources and you may use your textbook.
➢
➢
3. Each group will then use the power point story board to plan its slideshow.
4. Groups will then use power point to create a slide show for its assigned planet. Make sure to follow the EXACT format of the story board. YOU MAY ONLY HAVE 12 SLIDES AND YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS, YOUR GRADE WILL BE AFFECTED BY NOT FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS.
5. Groups will then present their slideshows to the class. THERE ARE NO EXTENSIONS ON THIS DATE, MAKE SURE TO COME PREPARED. I suggest you make more than one copy of the presentation and have more than one group member keep a copy.
6. As the groups present their planet you are to complete a table of facts about each planet.
7. Groups will be graded on a predetermined rubric (refer to back of paper).
Project is due: May 11th- B-Day ( Periods 6 and 8) and 2nd period
or May 12th if A-Day ( Periods 3, 5, 7)
