Second Class Work – Week beginning 11 / 05 / 2020Hello everyone,Mrs. Storey (Ms. Leacy) here. I hope you are all well and staying safe. As Ms Quinlan informed you last week, she is now on maternity leave and I’m sure you will join me in wishing her all the best in the exciting weeks ahead. We look forward to hearing about the new arrival and we hope that everything will go well for her. Ms. Quinlan had previously informed you that Mrs. O’Sullivan would be taking over the preparation of work for the remainder of the year. However, there has been a change of plan and I am looking forward to working with 2nd class, albeit remotely, for the next 7 weeks. I will try to continue Ms. Quinlan’s good work and help you to learn what you can at home. I will continue the same format to keep things as straight forward as I can. Ms Quinlan has kept me up to date with how everything is going for you and I would like to stress at this point that the work is merely ‘suggested work’ and a menu for each family to choose from. The dynamics and needs for every family are different and therefore no two houses will work the same. Sometimes you may manage to get a lot covered and other days it may not be so successful. So remember not to be too worried and every little bit of work will help keep your child in touch and familiar with words, spellings, etc. I look forward to hearing from you and please send me any work you have completed or wish to share. Remember when you are writing think about the questions Who? What? Where? When? And why? Make a word web with all the words we associate with the topic.
