Rear Admiral Woodward participated in the Spanish-American War of 1898 while a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, which he graduated from in 1899. This collection contains correspondence, news clippings, publications, photos, personal correspondence, souvenirs, etc. which document his naval career.
