SEN School Travel Plans – Action ideas

Possible measures/initiatives/actions to include in your Action Plan

These are some ideas for measures that you can use to help achieve the objectives and targets you have set in your School Travel Action Plan. Not all of the following ideas will be appropriate for every SEN school, but they can be selected to reflect your school’s needs.

|Generate individual travel plans for selected pupils on school transport. | |

|Provide pupils walking / using public transport with a flip book identifying | |

|the starting and final destinations of their journey, as well as key | |

|landmarks including bus or train stops. | |

|Liaise with neighbouring schools to tackle problems jointly. | |

|Highlight current travel issues in school newsletters. | |
