2020 Federal PAC—Grand Raffle ProgramAbout the Grand Raffle ProgramFor a personal contribution of $5 to the MCUL’s Federal PAC (MCULLAF), a credit union member or employee can purchase a Grand Raffle ticket which enters them into our annual drawing for $35,000 in cash prizes. Tickets are sold individually for $5 or in discount packs of 5 tickets for $20. The Grand Raffle program continues to be the largest annual fundraiser for the Federal PAC (MCULLAF). This program kicks off in the spring with sales running through October. Credit unions who wish to participate are asked to complete the 2020 Grand Raffle participation form and ensure that their credit unions Federal PAC (MCULLAF) permission agreement is up to date. Once tickets arrive, a supply of tickets and flyers will be sent to the credit union. This program is a great way to meet and exceed your credit union’s federal PAC fundraising goal each year!Running a Grand Raffle ProgramTo participate, contact Kathryn Hall at Kathryn.Hall@ or (800) 262-6285 ext. 470. She will send you a 2020 Grand Raffle participation form to fill out. At this time, she will also check to see if your credit union has a valid Federal PAC (MCULLAF) permission agreement on file with us. If your Federal PAC (MCULLAF) permission agreement is expired, we will provide a new one to you. This document must be filled out and on file with the MCUL in order to run any Federal PAC (MCULLAF) fundraising at your credit union.If you run out of tickets or need more flyers while running this program, please reach out to Kathryn (contact information above) to request additional tickets and/or flyers to be mailed to your branches.Once you have completed your Grand Raffle program please send all your sold, unsold, or voided tickets, funds, and remittance forms to Kathryn. She will send out several handy reminders about the interim and final send-in dates for 2020. Purchasing a TicketAnyone who is a member of a credit union that has a valid Federal PAC (MCULLAF) permission agreement on file, is affiliated with the Michigan Credit Union League and is at least 18 years old may participate. It is important to note that at this time we do not recommend selling Grand Raffle tickets to anyone who is not a member of your credit union.Federal PAC (MCULLAF) DisclaimerWhen running any Federal PAC (MCULLAF) program please use the following disclaimer: “You must be a member of a MCUL-affiliated Michigan credit union and 18 years of age or older to contribute. Contributions are not considered charitable contributions or business expenses for income tax purposes. Contributions are completely voluntary and will be used for political purposes. There shall be no reprisal for those who decide not to contribute.”Reporting RequirementsAt the federal level the reporting requirements are much less stringent than requirements at the state level. Once an individual has contributed $50.00 or more in year they must include the following information with their remittance: amount, name, address, occupation, employer of contributor, and date of receipt. The MCUL reports any reportable contribution data to the Federal Election Committee (FEC) once this information is received with the funds. Forms that can be used to collect this data will be mailed out to you with your supply of tickets and forms.Remitting ContributionsAll PAC fundraising remittance forms can be found by visiting our PAC fundraising webpage at . Contributions from the Grand Raffle program are credited to your credit union’s annual Federal PAC (MCULLAF) fundraising goal. ................
