Objective: The student will develop an Inspiration diagram showing the components of the biosphere demonstrating the types of organisms that inhabit each region. The sample diagram may be used as a guide.

Recording results in Inspiration:

• Open Inspiration

• Type in Biosphere (make sure not to click away from the ‘Main Idea’ symbol.

• Click the RapidFire button [pic].

• Type the names of the regions of the biosphere and hit enter.

• Use the links below and other resources to find information on organisms in each region.

• For each region, click on the symbol and, using the rapid fire method, enter the types of organisms found in each.

• Students find graphic files representing the regions (see example) and replace the normal ovals in Inspiration with these images. This can be done by clicking on the symbol, going to Edit and pulling down to Insert Graphic. The files used for this may be found on the Internet or from a folder prepared in advance and placed on the student shared drive. Also, hyperlinks may be added to access websites.
