Edmund Neizer Telephone: 01656 733282 Parish Mobile 07964 366710 Parish Website Archdiocese of Cardiff – Registered Charity Number 1177272 THE MOST HOLY TRINITY 30TH May 2021 MESSAGE FROM FR. EDMUNDDearly Beloved Parishioners,Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say Rejoice!May the peace and joy of God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit be with you all.In the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “St. Gregory of Nazianzus, also called "the Theologian", entrusts this summary of Trinitarian faith to the catechumens of Constantinople: Above all guard for me this great deposit of faith for which I live and fight, which I want to take with me as a companion, and which makes me bear all evils and despise all pleasures: I mean the profession of faith in the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I entrust it to you today. By it I am soon going to plunge you into water and raise you up from it. I give it to you as the companion and patron of your whole life. I give you but one divinity and power, existing one in three, and containing the three in a distinct way. Divinity without disparity of substance or nature, without superior degree that raises up or inferior degree that casts down. . . the infinite co-naturality of three infinites. Each person considered in himself is entirely God. . . the three considered together. . . I have not even begun to think of unity when the Trinity bathes me in its splendour. I have not even begun to think of the Trinity when unity grasps me. . .” (CCC 256)The Most Holy Trinity is the ineffable mystery of God.Beloved, in the 1st Reading: Moses asks the Hebrews a few thought-provoking questions, which are meant to remind them and all the faithful, of the great things that God has done for us. In addition, Moses urges that we all must know, and keep in our hearts that our Lord is God for all eternity. My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God has given us his Spirit, so that we can become his adopted children. As children of God, we are heirs: heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ Jesus. By this we are called to participate in the Life of the Holy Trinity.God gave authority over heaven and earth to Jesus. On the basis of this authority, Jesus commands all who call him Lord, to go and make disciples of all people, in the name of the Holy Trinity. My dear people of God, the Spirit of our Lord Jesus, sets us free from slavery to sin and evil, and makes us children of God and members of the Body of Christ, and sanctifies us that we may be witnesses to God’s Love and Mercy in the world.Let us strive to live by the commandments of God and give glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit all the days of our lives for our good and the good of all His Holy Church. God Love You!United in PrayerROSARY PROCESSION & HOLY MASS: Monday 31st May marks the end of the month of Holy Rosary. Father Edmund, we thank you for your prayers, love, care and support; Please be assured of our continued prayers and support.-121920-10414000JUNE the month of the SACRED HEART OF JESUSDuring this month we should often stop and pray in thanks to God for the great love of Jesus which is celebrated in the Sacred Heart. ?Devotion to the Sacred Heart, as we know it, began about the year 1672. On repeated occasions, Jesus appeared to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, a Visitation Nun in France, and during these apparitions He explained to her the devotion to His Sacred Heart. True devotion to the Sacred Heart is devotion to the Divine Heart of Jesus, as His Heart represents and recalls His love for each one of us. The Solemnity of the Sacred Heart takes place this year on Friday, June 11th As part of your devotions, you are invited to pray the Novena, Prayers ofSt. Margaret Mary Alacoque, each day from June 2nd to the 10th.?“O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold, I knock, I seek, and ask for the grace of (name your request). Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be to the Father…Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, for Whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your tender mother and ours.Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: “Saint Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.”ETERNAL REST: In your mercy, please pray for those who have recently died and who have anniversaries at this time. May they rest in perfect peace and rise in Eternal Glory. SICK OF OUR PARISHES: “Is any among you sick? Let him call on the elders of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed any sin, he will be forgiven” (James 5: 14-16). Let us pray for the sick of our Parishes remembering in a very special way: Vincent Kelly, David Lonergan, Maureen Lucas, Gerald Hughes, Maurice Kehoe, Anthony Roche, Linda Pryce and Sue Walsh.
