All 8-Gold students will be responsible for completing a research based project during the month of May. Student research projects requiring presentation will be scheduled upon the conclusion of the project. Student research projects are required for the 4th marking period.

Once you choose your project – see Ms. Wenrich for more information outlining the guidelines/expectations for your choice. Choose your project carefully, once you begin your research you are committed and may not change projects or groups. All projects require a bibliography including a minimum of 8 sources, at least 3 of which must be books (website sources must be credible- Wikipedia or any wiki cites are not considered credible).

All students must complete a Civil War Project Survey Graphic Organizer. You MUST survey the 4 possible project choices and check out sources that might help you accomplish one. Please complete and turn in the Civil War Project Survey Graphic Organizer no later than the start of class period TOMORROW.

- The final entry on your graphic organizer must be your final project choice including the following:

o Project choice/topic – Example: Research Paper – Weapons; Battle Model - Gettysburg

o Names of any students you are working with if applicable (all groups must be approved by Ms. Wenrich)

*All projects must be approved by Ms. Wenrich

**Any student not turning in a Civil War Project Survey Graphic Organizer with their project choice and group (if applicable) by the start of class tomorrow will be assigned a topic and format and will work individually.

***All project choices upon approval are FINAL!! (Choose wisely!)

Due Dates:

All students must turn in the Civil War Project Survey Graphic Organizer with a project choice and the name(s) of their group members (if applicable) no later than TOMORROW!

Due date for completed project is Tuesday May 17th

(Project presentations dates/times will be scheduled on an individual basis as needed.)
