We will take your course requests and try to match you with as many of your requests as possible. Unfortunately, not every course is offered every period, so it is common to be scheduled for a course that was not your first choice. You will have the opportunity to meet with your Counselor the 2nd week of school to request a schedule change, however changes are not always possible! Many Universities require High School courses in World Languages, regardless of work you have done in Middle School. Courses open to Freshmen:Spanish: Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, and Advanced Spanish Language & Literacy Spanish Heritage Language Speakers 1, 2French: French 1, 2, 3, and 4, Advanced French Language & Literacy (for native French speakers)Italian: Italian 1, 2, 3, and 4Chinese: Chinese 1, 2, 3, and 4ElectivesMost Freshmen take an elective. Some electives are full-year courses, but many are just half-year courses. If you want to take a specific half-year elective, you will need to choose 2 half-year electives so that you have something to take each semester.
