You will be expected to have your binder on a daily basis with all necessary materials inside. You will organize your binder in the following order:

Section 1 - Do Now: In this section, you will work on and keep all of our daily “do now” activities from the beginning of class each day.

Section 2 – Notes: In this section, you will keep and organize all notes taken in class and any handouts given during class. You should be able to come back to this section for review and/or assistance for assignments and tests.

Section 3 – Graded Papers: In this section, you will keep all returned papers that have been graded. These papers will help for test review and can be looked at if there any grading questions.

Cell Phone/Earbuds/Headphones Policy

School policy is one earbud when in the hallways or commons area (this is a safety issue)

My classroom policy is as follows:

No phones/earbuds/headphones…unless otherwise specified. There will be times you are doing independent work you may use them or times that you will need it for assignments. I also allow for charging at my “unplugged” station, but it must be placed there at the beginning of class and remain there until the end of class.

Consequences: Failure to comply immediately will result in an office referral.

1st offense- take phone, return at the end of class.

2nd offense- take phone, parent must conference with me in person/by phone to get it back. (NO EMAILS)

3rd offense- take phone, turn in to grade level AP, parent must arrange a conference with the AP to get it back.
