2.2A. The LEA has provided copies of the menu of best practices to principals and Title 1 / LAP teachers. Buildings that did not meet the 60% passing threshold created a document outlining how they use the menu of best practices. There is a plan in place to revisit and strengthen that document during this school year. The document will be reviewed and strengthened during monthly Title 1 / LAP meeting and during monthly Elementary Focus meeting during which the principals meet with the various department directors. Please see the document titled K-4 Literacy Plans.B. Buildings track student progress during benchmarking on a matrix. The matrix includes, MAP scores, easyCBM/DIBELS score and teacher ratings. Each benchmarking period student data is reviewed. During the review, staff determine which students will receive services and what strategies/materials will be used to help the student. Instructional decisions are based on data. Buildings are encouraged to use progress monitoring during instruction to gather data to measure the effectiveness of the instruction. Exit tasks, formal progress monitoring and other methods are used to gather data on a regular basis. C. Monthly meetings are held with the Title 1 / LAP teachers. During the meeting, strategies are discussed and shared. Annually, the progress made by students in each buildings is reviewed. Discussions are held regarding how to improve student performance. The superintendent meets frequently with the elementary principals and the Title 1 / LAP teachers to share his ideas on how to improve student achievement. ................
